I dont know about you, but I reckon there's something quite beautiful about this, which is not really the way you'd expect a heavy metal track to be labelled. I dont know man, searing LARGE guitar based musical soundscapes at work and all that. Bass guitar solo's, lead guitar solo's... yadda yadda yadda... it's all here simply enough. No lyrics as is "hinted," at in the title. Coming on strong!

I went out for a few pints and a couple of games of pool last night with some mates. Good times, and made even better by the last minute decision to drive over to Amsterdam for the Easter holiday weekend! Unfortunately what wasn't so good was my much disturbed sleep and subsequent banging hang-over! Both of which quickly put paid to the entire weekends Amsterdam 2009 tour of duty. Not cool...

New Years just around the corner, and I think it may be best to welcome in 2009 with a motherfucking metal rock out!! ha! Take your pick, but I'm proposing this 20yr old slice of Metallica gold from the ...And Justice For All album. About a month or so ago I went out and bought all of the first 5 albums released by the band. I'd heard all of 'em back in my boarding school days, via the shared stereo in our 6 man dorm room, and at the time I must admit that I wasn't really feeling the METAL, what with me being a 24/7 dance music head back then. Anyhow give it a little time and slowly but surely I began to come around to the sound, and it wasn't much longer before long that superfan status was achieved. Result! The Youtube clip is a live version from 1989. Otherwise feeling really good about the blog so far. Just yesterday I found out that the cracking mp3 blog aggregator Elbo.ws have listed me on their site, and results of which so far have been great. Chuffed! ooooooooooooooooohhh yeah! Metal! The only reason that it's taken so long to get the representation it so rightfully deserves here at This Scene Is Dead is because I admittedly dont have very much of it at all to share and recommend. My metal knowledge base started and stopped in the last year of high school, and though it only lasted for the one year the love for the music that I got into over that time has stayed burning as bright as ever.
