Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata

Wow, what a whirlwind past few days it has been for me. For a start I met a pretty amazing woman for the first time on Sunday, and it was that same minute of first meeting that saw us leave London for Manchester by car to catch a Yeah Yeah Yeahs gig at the Manchester Apollo. True! A long story perhaps, though it has to be said that it is one which provided me with an awesome end (and start) to a week, and also one which saw me turn in for work on Monday without having slept a wink! From then on it’s been a case of being out and about in various capacities each night since, and I have to say : it’s been bloody brilliant! Happy days for me…
For tonight then, we’re taking things in a classical direction for a nice change. For one I could do with something chilled as I’m feeling so knackered. And the second reason being that I attended a super 100 Club performance special by acclaimed UK piano ace Joanna MacGregor on Tuesday, and I guess I’m just feeling the piano love.

Tiersen - La Valse d’Amelie… The score to the Jean-Pierre Jeunet movie Amelie. Simply stunning.
