At The Drive-In - Heliotrope

I pulled this off a compilation album entitled N.F.T.F.H (Not For The Faint Hearted) vol.1 that was put together for me a couple years ago by TSID site regular and supreme North LDN O.G : DeEbO. Rarely do these pages get to see any good old American hardcore (or post-hardcore??), and so I thought it would be a nice mix up for today’s upload and post. I unfortunately know bugger all about the band, excepting for the few facts that I’ve picked up off mates over time. One of those facts being that ATDI are long since split up, though I see today as I browse for a little more info on Wikipedia that the OG members are talking to each other again with the possibility of plans to maybe reform. Info now dating back to only July of this year, so something big could be just around the corner. We wait and see…
Otherwise no news on the follow up N.F.T.F.H vol.2 album! And are there any actual drive-in’s still operational in England??

According to Mojo magazine and various other blog sites…there are rumors that N.F.T.F.H vol 2, talks have been underway for the last couple of months. label bosses are talking with producer DeEbO at his North London studio. DeEbo wants this next edition to twice as loud and to have twice the amount of angry vocals, taking it to a new hardcore level. Keep a slot free for the 1st single release.
How A.T.D.I became the terrible Mars Volta…is something I will never understand. They went from making insane music to utter crap. One guy at work doesnt even know them from A.T.D.I days which scares me. How can someone go straight to Volta and not know that they once created beats instead of distortion. If they do really release another A.T.D.I c.d…I cant help but wonder if it will be M.V style or good old fashion A.T.D.I? Guess we can only wait and see. Helitrope is pure gold.
