Now I’m back to funk, freak the funk, hype the funk, swipe the funk and all that junk…

La Roux - In For The Kill (Skreams Let’s Get Ravey Remix)

Tags: ,

We may only be halfway through the second month of the year, though I am quite comfortable in saying that this tune really could be a contender for my personal track of the year 2009. I get easily excited about a lot of music, though the level experienced when hearing this for the first time, through that teaser radio rip Youtube video that Skream put out a couple of weeks back, stood head and shoulders above all else I’ve felt in quite a while. The blogs have been on fire over this one, and with good reason! It’s just awesome to finally be able to hear a clean copy, and one played through my own player! Check it!

In related live music news, Londoners can catch La Roux playing out the last two dates of her small UK tour, via her mini YoYo residency, at the Notting Hill Arts Club over the 19th & 26th of February. Seems like the lady might be gearing up for bigger things too, so catch her at these smaller (better!) venues while you can!
As for Skream, check out his Myspace for loads of live dates all over the world!
