Depeche Mode - Useless (Kruder & Dorfmeister Session)

Well how about this then! Caught this stunning remix only around about a month or so ago when over at a friends house. He casually loaded it onto the player, and I, not quite so casually, freaked out!! And yeah, only 11 or so years late, though definitely a case of better late than never, that’s for sure.
Weighing in at over 6 minutes in length, this brooding beast pushes all the right buttons for me, starting with THAT bassline, that just rolls and rolls and rolls… ahhh bliss. Feel it! Otherwise the haunting vocals are set perfectly, and the drum beat carries things off super sweet. A perfect package basically. Cheers Paul!
I’m tempted to draw comparisons with a previous post on TSID, namely the epic Coldcut remix of Eric B & Rakim’s “Paid In Full.” Comparisons similar in sound, particularly the bassline, though more down the fact that tunes this big are a pretty rare occurance for me when experiencing something that comes on this strong. Truly timeless, if only down at TSID towers even…
Peace.

This is brilliant! I used to have a friend that was a very dedicated fan of DM and living in one flat with him (as a student) I got to know every single track made by them! And I actually liked it in the end! This one though is so different, sleepy, dreaming, tripping, very good!
